Zann doesn’t like to eat apple on its own. But she takes apple juice. And she is always so enthusiastic in helping out. She smiled with pride while watching me finishing her apple juice. In my opinion, we should do this more often to make her likes fruits or vegetables maybe.
Had a talk with the principal about Zann this morning. She was very kind to share with me her view on parenting and Zann’s progress in speech.
” If a child talks very softly in the class, so soft until which we can’t hear. She only talks when no one is around and behaves differently at home. This is a sign of having an introverted character with low self-esteem. “
While I was not watching, the girl painted her nails red with my pen. Funny I thought, as I do not have the habit of applying nail polish. As much as I have expected, she was imitating her good friend, Nicole again. Why? Because Nicole came to centre with strawberry (pink) nails today.
Coming school hoildays, I will be doing a simple pop-up story books with the kids. I chose art and craft session over baking because I didn’t want to partner with a teacher whom I dislike working with. Even though I would like to do both.
I found great simple pop-ups you can make which is very useful to do with the children. Some of them which Zann has done before.
Zann was playing with the lock until she managed to lock herself out of the room. If she had locked herself in, it would be much easier to get out without a problem. Lucky thing, we kept the spare keys outside.
It was not over yet. We found this on the wall in her room !!!
You can imagine how angry I was when I saw this. 
To encourage people to wash hands, HPB had actually came up with the idea of this ‘Stop the horror with Soap and Water! campaign. I wanted to print out from the website, but the image was too small. Until I saw the ad in the train. So I took a snapshot and printed it out to show Zann. Yes, I have to use this method to make her wash her hands!
It is amazing to see how much energy Zann has despite waking up early today. However, at the wrong place and wrong timing.
While we were having our lunch, she was enjoying herself on the railing, treating it like a slide. Even showed no fear of falling down or followed my instruction to come down. I gave her a hard spank in the end. But after crying for awhile, she went back to the railing!
When Zann says ‘ horse poo poo’ , she’s actually refering to the Gallop Stable in Pasir Ris Park. Because she found the place smelly. It’s funny to hear her saying it many times.
…and there was no “later” to her way of thinking.
Usual dinner with soup.
A custard vanilla bun.
A few strawberries.
One cup of hot milo.
She has a big appetite last night. I have to stop her when she’s asking for banana. It just makes me wonder what’s inside her tummy….
