Today we learnt the many different types of music notes. Semibrere - 4 counts, dotted minim - 3 counts, minim - 2 counts and crotchet - 1 count. Teacher Karen told us given their young age, they will tend to forget, so we would have to revise many times during the lesson and at home. Zann did not follow the ascending and descending pitch when we pasted the stickers in the activity book.

May 25, 2008The make up music lesson
May 18, 2008
Today was the make up lesson for last weekend. And we were late again.
We were taught on high and low pitch. The children were given the lion and bird stickers to paste into their activity book. Lion sticker means high pitch while bird sticker means low. Zann was more interested in the pasting activity instead. There was a good mixture of song, dance and play to keep the little ones’ mind occupied.
First lesson
May 3, 2008I had a quick and unsatisfying lunch before heading to the music class today. We were early. While waiting for the lesson to start, Zann was running around and playing with the balloon.
There are 8 children in the class. The must for a parent to attend, allows me to learn as well.

We have fun learning C note, 2 keys and 3 keys, using flashcards to compare fast and slow motion and singing along the songs, twinkle twinkle little star and hot cross bun with finger puppets.
