I asked her many times, ‘heavy or not ?’ She says ‘No.
It’s a long way walking back home and the weather was super hot.
Still, she enjoyed every minute of pushing the trolley.

We didn’t go out anywhere. Daddy was working.
I told Zann in the morning that we would be making pancakes.
There was an air of excitement in the kitchen. I was preparing the ingredients while she made the pancakes from scratch, under my supervision.
I used the no-fuss recipe from ‘Cooking with Kids’. Zann doesn’t like blueberries so I changed to strawberries. To my surprise, they taste equally good too.
The past few days, Zann has been pestering me to buy some stuffs, which she wanted them badly. I told her ok, ok, tomorrow ok? She has been hearing them almost everyday until she gave up.
So tonight, she decided to do something on her own to fulfill her WISH. *Sigh*

I went inside her room and saw her busy painting her own toe nails with her BLUE magic pen. Of all colors, she actually chose BLUE !

I don’t know I should be laughing or being angry with her. She was feeling so excited and happy, asking me ‘ NICE or not, Mummy? ‘ 气死我 !

Yes, that was part of her wish list.
She wanted a nail polish and pink color shoes with HEELs !
What should I do?

Zann has been doing this at home many times since Friday. When asked where she has learnt from, her reply was her own name. I knew she lied.
When I asked again today before she sleeps, she said a name. Her new Indian friend whom she likes to play with now.

It was raining heavily when Zann and I walked home together. She even reminded me to be careful of the wet floor. So thoughtful of her.
Few months ago, Teacher Michelle advised me that Zann needs a lot of improvement in her articulation. There were many times when she couldn’t express clearly to the teachers and her peers. Daddy and I already knew the problem. Because it’s the same situation at home.

Zann went for her first appointment at the polyclinic. I want a second opinion from the speech therapist. But before that, a referral letter was needed to go KKH so that we do not have to wait long in the queue.

The girl woke up earlier than me this morning. She was reading the gingerbread man quietly on her bed, while waiting for me. I prompted her to sing the song, ” I am a big bad wolf…” which we learnt from watching the ‘The boy who cried wolf’. She even told me that she wanted to eat the gingerbread man. So cute!
was misunderstood by me today…
Zann cried and asked why I was keeping her folded clothes back to the wardrobe. I found it funny that she didn’t want me to touch her clothes. When she insisted to have them back, I refused to give in. Well, she used a stool and brought them back to her room in the end.
So she has wanted to fold HER own clothes and help to put back to the wardrobe !
Stupid me not to think of that.
Right this moment, the girl will sing the Happy Birthday Song to me out of the blue. As i sat besides her, enjoying my time with her, i realised how the time has passed fast. Another one month plus, she will be turning 4.

Her current favourite color, pink which she refers to strawberry. She calls them strawberry shoes, strawberry shirt, strawberry watch….

Zann came knocking on the door while I was taking my shower. She shouted to me that the mooncakes were dropped onto the floor. She didn’t reply when I asked her why. She kept quiet awhile before shouted, “Daddy”. Until daddy came to tell me that the culprit was Zann. She asked for more, but Daddy refused. In the mid of struggling, the four pieces dropped.
You know, I am a mooncake lover. But in this case, I really think very hard. I think I don’t want to eat already, though I have taken two small bites.
