Sick for (almost) a week

This is the first time that both Zann and I have been sick for so long. The girl’s fever came back on last wed with 38.5C while I caught the fever and sore throat bug from her. We went back to see doc the second time. Oh well, really hate this week especially having no energy to look after Zann. I just hope we can recover FAST to enjoy coming weekend.

The cough syrup which the girl hates. I am using jelly as a coax and it works.

Getting ready: A cup of water in her right hand, and cough syrup in her left hand.

Each time she drank it, she would say, “NOT NICE “.

While Zann’s condition has improved, mine’s getting worse. The painful sore throat is making me frustrated. Doctor refused to give me antibiotic. She thought my body’s own resistance would help to improve. This week is really a crappy week.

“Mummy, where am I ?”

Zann shouted for me when I was in the kitchen.
Once awhile, she will do this whenever I am away doing chores.

And this is her favourite spot. Lying still and silently waiting under her blanket on her bed.

She would ask, ” how do you know I am here?”

Cooking in the dream

For the past few weeks, Zann has been sleeping with her cooking toys.

I thought it’s safer to keep while she’s asleep. I even keep them in different containers. But she can wake up in the middle of night and put them back, knowing which are the exact ones.

Anyway, I give up keeping these toys already.

Lunch at Sakae

I have cravings for some japanese food, so we had lunch at Zann’s favourite joint. She remembered the green frog logo.

Sakae’s kiddy menu has improved with more choices. They even have the yaki soba (fried noodle), which Zann loves.

The girl was grinning from ear to ear, loving her aeroplane bento set.

It was library time after lunch. The girl had her playtime at the Whimsy arcade.

Diego and Ice Cream

I brought Zann to catch the Diego performance at United Square. So after the performance, we went shopping for Christmas and headed for lunch with Bro Ace.

The girl told me she likes this Christmas tree especially the two big gingerbread man.

After lunch, we decided to head down to Udders for their ice cream.

Zann enjoyed her ice cream treat.

We had these for dinner

No joke…Zann and I had french toasts and ham for dinner.

Well, before that, I asked the girl to choose between take-away, homecooking or fastfood. Her answer was ham and bread. Just the two of us and it’s so much hassle-free.

Sweet potatoes

Zann had fun, helping me to smash (with hands) the sweet potatoes, combining then with flour and sugar. Instead of the usual round shapes, we decided to roll them into different shapes, using animal cutters.

Taa-da… the finished product.
