Great Friday…

October 17, 2008

So what’s the best way to spend on ? On food of course. Dinner was at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng

It was supposed to be a dinner date with Cousin Stephen and his family. But he couldn’t make it at dinner time. Ended up we met for supper. Only after we parted, I realised I have forgotten to take photos with them!

I have been eating more than usual during these past few days, piling on the calories which I don’t wish to know. But all in all, it was a great trip. Is KL considered far away from S’pore? Because this was my second time to KL, the last time was like more than 20 years ago, tagging along with my parents. The fact that I have not seen my cousins for so many years even made this trip a memorable one. Although I am not sure if I will attend another cousin’s wedding next month. Still, I appreciate the time they took to accompany me.

Water phobia

October 16, 2008

After breakfast, I decided to bring Zann for a dip in the outdoor pool. And it took me one hour to get her changed because she wasn’t keen. Her phobia of water is getting worse. Even when we reached the pool, I had to spend time coaxing her.

I think it’s time to enrol her into swimming class.

A day @ The Pavilion

October 15, 2008

Cousin Wesmine and I decided to meet up for a lunch at The Pavilion, which I learnt that it was a new shopping mall opened not long ago. Malaysia’s shopping malls, often built big and spacious, which is what I like most. I was happy to find ELC, the toy shop I often go in United Square. They were having a sale. I didn’t waste any chance to get Zann some toys. Lunch was suggested at Crystal Jade which we didn’t manage to finish. Yes, I am happy to see my cousin again. So this time round, we chatted more than usual. We parted at 7pm, which my cousin’s boyfriend gave us a ride back to the hotel.

Of that push car stroller

October 13, 2008

When I saw this big signboard in One-U which says, Kiddy Ride, I thought it was the battery-operated type. So I suggested letting Zann have a try. Only to realise later that it was a push car stroller at RM3. We were reminded to return the car at 9.30pm. Ok, not a bad idea though, we thought. But after an hour, we decided to return the car stroller. Because it was so troublesome pushing around the mega mall. unhappy

My food affair started with …

…Kim Gary HongKong Cafe.

Which I even went back twice. Sad thing is it’s location is inconvenient for me to get there.

Theme park @ Genting

October 11, 2008

Could have taken more clear photos but forgot to charge my camera before we came.

We truly enjoyed the cool weather over at Genting. The first time I went was more than 20 years ago. Not until today,, I finally had a good view of it’s like. The theme park doesn’t look what it appeared as in the brochures. Well, the place looks run-down. I don’t think I will want to go back again anymore. Because I couldn’t stand the long journey, which I threw up twice. First time was on the way up and second time was on the way down. Worse, the taxi driver was so busy entertaining us with his Genting horror stories.

A happy dinner date

October 10, 2008

Dinner was with Cousin Wesmine and her boyfriend. Having so many years apart, we have so much to talk about. I was so carried away chit chatting until I forgot to snap the food. *wink*

Preparing to go KL

October 8, 2008

Had a quick lunch at the airport. And having abit of time left before boarding the plane, we went ‘roaming’ around.

Day 4: Going home

May 12, 2008

It’s time to say a goodbye to KL. For the fear of me getting car sickness, we took a cab to KL Sentral and then a train from there to the airport. From the airport, we travelled to the budget terminal by a bus. The one hour plus journey was so tiring. Time spent in KL passed so fast. There were many places which we have not been to. Places like Berjaya Times Square, Petaling street, Lot 10 and One-Utama. Hb said bringing Zann along while travelling has slowed down the time in shopping and exploring. To think of it,  I don’t deny at times my mood was affected by her tantrums. Maybe she is not included in the next future trip, I guessed.

Day 3: Mid Valley mall

May 11, 2008

This trip has made me realised that Zann loves Kellogg’s froot loop cereals. For the first two morning, she requested me to give her the colourful breakfast cereals.

Today marked two special occasions, Mother’s Day and my birthday. Coincidentally, both fall on the same day. We travelled to Bangsar station and took a cab down to Mid Valley mall which we spent the entire day exploring. Earlier, Zann has misbehaved at the train platform, refusing to alight for no reason. In the end, I had to force carry her out. She showed me her displeasure by throwing tantrum and crying aloud on the floor. So many onlookers. So embarassing. Sigh. That was my present I received from her on Mother’s Day.
