Sat. Sun.

February 27, 2011

Sat. Because Daddy had two wedding dinners to attend. I planned a day of activities for myself and Zann.  The girl was so happy when I told her we would be lunching out at her favourite joint, *FROG*. She only remembers the green frog logo which represents Sakae. Yea…the aeroplane set which she never gets tired of. After that, both of us spent three hours in salon. While she had her haircut, I had my coloring done.

Next, was the story telling session inside the Congo hut. I liked the story telling idea which  ACM has came up with.

Sun. Daddy planned to bring the girl out for a swim. But they didn’t get to go in the end because of the unpredictable weather.

Zi char for dinner

February 13, 2011

We spent a good time having Zi Char for dinner.

Both Zann and I finished the plate of sweet and sour sliced fish.

Eggy spinach soup.

Braised toufu with pork.

10 hours without Zann

January 23, 2011

Daddy and I spent our Sunday shopping without Zann. It’s easier to run errands for Chinese New Year in some crowded places without the girl tagging along.

It’s fresh flowers made bunny. Very innovative.

I like this dress but Daddy said I looked fat wearing it. Should I buy or not to buy ? *thinking*

Our next destination, the super crowded Chinatown under the hot sun.

So many people queueing for Lim Chee Guan’s ba kwa. We saw other brands elsewhere but they were all sold out. At $49 per kg, that’s really exp.

My non-spicy beef ramen.

Daddy’s cha-su ramen.

It’s like a walking marathon today. I lost count of how much Daddy and I had covered. Tiring even without Zann with us. While daddy was happy with his loots, I still haven’t gotten anything for myself.

Lunch @ Bedok North Blk 84

January 15, 2011

It’s been awhile since the last time I came to Bedok North. Daddy likes Bedok because there’s so much good food in this old estate. We almost wanted to buy a flat here but we still ended up staying in Pasir Ris anyway.

The girl insisted on western meal for lunch. 2 cheesey hotdogs with fries at $5, which she didn’t finish. Her lunch was expensive than Daddy’s and mine.

The famous bah-chor mee stall was closed, so I had $2.50 Ipoh hor fun with $1 fried wantons.

Lunch at Sakae

January 1, 2011

I have cravings for some japanese food, so we had lunch at Zann’s favourite joint. She remembered the green frog logo.

Sakae’s kiddy menu has improved with more choices. They even have the yaki soba (fried noodle), which Zann loves.

The girl was grinning from ear to ear, loving her aeroplane bento set.

My deluxe bento set

It was library time after lunch. The girl had her playtime at the Whimsy arcade.

Adieu 2010

December 31, 2010

the last day of 2010, time to do little a recap

I have signed up Zann for her ballet class. We shall wait  and see if she likes it.
The girl has left childcare centre for good. She ll be starting her K2 at PCF near our place.
The relationship with my mum has turned for the better ever since we bought our own place 2 years ago.
It’s really 相见好同住难.
Facebook has been fabulous for me, not just games, I FOUND my old sec friends I have lost in  touch.
We still have so much (all kinds of bills) to settle.
- Zann ‘lost’  her friends at the centre. I asked if she misses them, she said no.  :(

My resolution for 2011?  I don’t ask much. All I want is good health, zann to grow well,  clear my face, stress free, lose more weight.

We had dinner at NYDC. Daddy wanted to try their signature NY cheesecake.

But I don’t like cheesecake. So we had brownie instead.

I wasn’t aware that NYDC has something for the kids.

Zann had her chicken spaggy. At an affordable price of $6.50, the portion was also enough for the girl. Not bad.

Daddy and I shared the hawaiian pizza.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my friends!

Hi-tea buffet with friends

December 26, 2010

It’s eating session with great company of two girlfriends!

Me, Huizhen and Meifern are a big fan of buffet. So we meet up again for a hi-tea buffet at Zhou’s kitchen. It’s our first time, and unfortunately, I didn’t really like it other than it’s affordable price. Their service and attitude sucks. The food was so-so, but we didn’t manage to finish all.

We made our way to the newly opened NEX. Oh my, the place was so packed. It’s even worse than Tampines Mall ! I think I am not going back again.

Christmas feasting starts …

December 25, 2010

So, as usual we had the usual feasting on the eve.  Talked about dieting, it’s so difficult.

Daddy’s decision to join us for lunch was last minute before leaving to meet his client. So we had our quick ‘healthy’ caesar salad lunch at Swenson.

Can you see the three of us ?

Paragon’s playground is a good place to keep the girl occupied while waiting for Daddy to finish his work .

We decided to try the pastries from Canele. The place was packed and we waited for more than 30mins. I don’t know why the girl insisted the strawberry shortcake she saw earlier.

I told the girl I’m leaving the queue and she started to cry. She said she was very hungry and wanted that strawberry shortcake very much. That left me with no choice again but to wait.

After waiting for more than 30mins,  Zann didn’t get to eat her strawberry shortcake still. Because the last piece was sold out ! So, I chose a fruit tart for her.

….while myself had the sinful rocky dark chocolate cake.

Zann received the white chocolate lollipop from Canele before we left. The supervisor apologised to us for the long waiting time. Ok, at least they remembered, not bad.

Daddy finished his work and joined us for dinner at a new burger place called The Handburger.

Daddy and I shared the grilled beef patty burger.

…..and we topped up another $4 for their caesar salad.

Zann had her battered dory fish burger in the kids’ menu. At $9.80, the set came with an apple juice, two chicken wings, one cupcake and fries. Not bad huh.

The girl finished everything on the plate except the cupcake which she said not nice.

All of us would love to come back again.

That’s how we spent our eve eating away the whole day. I’m feeling so fat. What about you? How did you spend your Christmas eve?

Diego and Ice Cream

December 17, 2010

I brought Zann to catch the Diego performance at United Square. So after the performance, we went shopping for Christmas and headed for lunch with Bro Ace.

The girl told me she likes this Christmas tree especially the two big gingerbread man.

After lunch, we decided to head down to Udders for their ice cream.

Zann enjoyed her ice cream treat.

Zann turns 5!

December 12, 2010

Zann decided on the princess cake for her birthday. With two of her favourite color, pink (strawberry) and purple (yam).

This year, we celebrated Zann’s birthday with my family.

Grandmummy with her lovely granddaugher.

The birthday girl must have her noodles.

…and the cakes.

These were the lovely presents that she received:

Thank you to my mum, my bro and uncle  for the presents and angbaos. Zann was happy on that day.

“Happy Birthday, sweetie!”
