$20 voucher to eat anything worth $40 from the menu, which was why Daddy bought from Groupon again. But alas, we still need to top up because we had exceeded the total cost. I am on diet still, so Daddy finished the sinful banana crumble he had ordered. :D

Dinner @ Thai Express

Day 3

June 2, 2011

Time for a heartful big breakfast buffet. And this time round, Zann’s appetitie had fully returned! Hooray. I was so happy when she asked for fried rice, eggs, hashbrown and sausage.

We went to Berjaya Times Square theme park after breakfast. Zann was so excited when she saw the place. I paid RM76 (Adult RM43 Child RM33) for the entrance fee, only to realise the tickets cost more expensive in June holidays. :(

What was orginally a 20 mins monorail ride back to hotel turned out to be a 45 mins long! All because I made a blunder of boarding at the wrong direction. Zann was so tired that she dozed off during the journey back. It was already late afternoon by the time we reached the hotel.

I asked zann if she wanted to go for a swim in later evening. She said no. So again, we didn’t get to go for a swim.

It was already dark by the time we waited for Daddy to join us after his course. We went roaming around Bukit Bintang area. We didn’t covered much because most of the shops were preparing to close.

Daddy bought a pack of  LED helicopter toys at RM4 from the man. Unfortunately I forgot to bring them back to SG. My 2nd blunder again.

Street performance outside Bukit Bintang station. These two men caught alot of attention from the passerbys.

I asked Zann if she wanted to pose with the man for a photo. She said no and was so afraid to go near because the men looked scary.

That was how we spent our last evening. Dinner was simple local food we ta-bao back to hotel. I had Mdm Kwan’s signature nasi lemak. Daddy’s dinner was stringray and pizza while Zann had her seafood horfun and pizza.

I felt so full and fat on that night.

Different cake, simple celebration

May 11, 2011

I was hoping for a surprise this year.

So this year’s cake was different because daddy chose the design without telling me. And that it had to be my favourite CHOCOLATE cake.

Before I could wish, the girl had already blew out the candle. Arh. Lucky I managed to say the wish faaast in my heart.

We had our dinner at Kiseki Japanese Buffet  Restaurant.

Brownies in small bite size. I love brownies!

The girl asked me if the slide is for baby.

As I walked around taking food, I came to realise there was no other kid except Zann. Even Daddy said the same thing.

Where’s the fondue ?

She didn’t see the chocolate fondue. If not, she would have ask for it. Too much chocolate also no good for her.

Guilty indulgence

April 28, 2011

How not to miss the durian stalls when you are at Geylang? Or was it just me? It was so tempting. So when Daddy asked, I immediately said YES !

With so many stalls at the roadside selling durians, how to pick one which is honest and genuine ? So, we bought from a stall where we saw alot of customers. 5 durians for $20, considered cheap or expensive ?

I didn’t see any worms, so I guess these are the good ones.

I decided to use some of the leftover durian paste to bake one durian cake.

Of HortPark and pancakes

April 26, 2011

So near yet so far …

We were planning to spend our evening at the Hort Park during the weekend.  But the unpredicatable weather prevented us from exploring this beautiful park. Having no choice, we could only explore their indoor gallery.

(We will come back to this park again. )

Next, we adjourned for dinner. Daddy suggested Strictly Pancakes since we didn’t get to go the other time. I thought that was a good idea since Zann loves pancake.

Zann wanted garlic prawn pancakes which she only ate the prawns. Daddy and I shared the banana scotched (minus the rum) pancakes. Boy, u can imagine how full the three of us were, having so much carbo (from the so many pancakes we ate!).

Err….no more pancakes for the time being lah.

Dinner @ The Garden Slug

April 22, 2011

If you love hanging out in the quieter east side, you would love to dine at the garden slug. And they even have kid’s menu. Better still, no service charge and GST. :D   I will be back with Zann again.

Victor’s Kitchen

April 22, 2011

Dim Sum was on my mind when I was at Purvis street today. I  really regretted choosing Victor’s kitchen over Strictly Pancakes which was just around the vicinity.

Utterly disappointed when I  couldn’t find egg tarts in their menu. This place has failed me with their food standard and lousy service.

Which explained why I only ordered a few plates.

We had an awesome dinner …

March 14, 2011

…. especially Mum’s chilly taucheo crabs. *Slurp*

Mum called and asked me to go over her place. I said YES when I heard CRABs.

I am not an eating crab expert. so everyone was telling me off that I waste food. Mum bought these 4 crabs at only $20 from Sheng Siong. Don’t know why so cheap. I enjoyed tonight’s dinner.

Except Zann. She told me they looked scary to be eaten. Haha.

Lunch @ Din Tai Fung 鼎泰丰 (Nex)

March 6, 2011

Food quality is good with prompt service. Needless to say, we love their xiao long baos.

I wish I knew there is a children’s playarea in Nex’s sky garden.  It’s like a miniwild wild wet.

Because of the unexpected rain, the girl had her limited play time at the playground area.

Before we left the place, mummy wanted to look for a long-time friend, Eileen.
