Zann did the concept of big and small this evening. By drawing a car with missing wheels and cutting out different sizes of wheels, I asked her to match accordingly. And she did it correctly.
After that, she was back to drawing.
She started drawing me first then followed by Daddy, on the right. I even asked many times whether I was the one on the left and she said yes. Well my hands are at both sides and it seems like Daddy has one hand and half body. It looked funny to me at first. Anyway I must say she has improved. Because she no longer drew us like balls.
This is Zann. She drew herself when I told her that she’s missing. I thought that was her hands on the body. But she told me it’s strawberry. It so happened that she was wearing a strawberry shortcake tee. So cute.

Zann’s making progress in drawing. I couldn’t make out what she drew intially. She told me that it’s snake and watermelon.

I found this drawing in Zann’s bag. When I asked her what it was that she drew, she shouted ice cream. Ok. So that was a 3yo ‘s impression of an ice cream. I think it looked more like a tree to me.
Let’s do some painting
January 6, 2009After having her first try 2 weeks ago, Zann is looking forward to another painting session. This evening, she told me she wanted to paint.
I asked her who’s that face she had drawn and she told me it’s me ! Ahem. So I have a pair of big eyes and pouty lips. I voiced my dissatisfaction to her, when I asked, “How come Mummy doesn’t have nose and hair?” After that, she painted a few dots for my nose and another outlines for my hair.
I was away in the kitchen when Zann came in and shouted, “Finished!”
I thought nothing of it initially. But after I walked over to check, only to realise that she’s trying to tell me there’s no more orange poster color left.
Oh, that’s very fast. Zann has finished the tub of orange poster color for this painting!

For the first time, Zann was introduced to painting
I used a few pegs to secure the NTUC plastic bag on her. And it fitted well as apron. I think I will still get her a proper apron.
