… … Is useful when I need to be away for awhile.

She was asking for painting session at home. Aah.. Just as well since it has been a long time we did craft work together. She wanted to show me what she had done in school – hand painting.
By the time she was done and before she could show me her fingers printwork, the paint on her hand was already dried up.

Here is Zann’s drawing of an aeroplane. She drew this last week.

The girl has her hands on canvas painting. All went well until her patience has worn out. Ok, she didn’t complete it. And there goes Tigger which was hidden under the wrong shade *Tsk Tsk*

I bought this book, Papa please get the moon for me for Zann sometime back. She loves this story very much. Last night, she picked up the book after doing some writing. While she was narrating the story eagerly to me in her own words, she also drew on a piece of paper.

I was pleasantly surprised and happy. She understood the concept of ‘BIG’ and ‘small’ from the story. Immediately after that, she went to stand at the window and shouted to me, Mummy no moon today !

We did fingerpainting and drawing today. For fingerpainting, I cut out the shapes of tree, cloud and flower, and asked Zann to paste onto the drawing paper. After that, she started fill in the colours with her fingers. Before long, the table started to get messy.
Later, I gave her a separate drawing paper and asked her to draw tree, flower and sun. Initially, she wanted to color the tree yellow (following the fingerpaint artwork). But I told her tree should be in green color. She added two characters far apart ( which I don’t know why). This time, there was hair on the heads.

I couldn’t keep my eyes opened (feeling so sleepy) while Zann was doing her fingerpaint. I sat down with her, trying to offer an idea of what she could do. For the start, I drew an apple and an orange and asked her to fill in the color, using her fingers. And she was enjoying playing with colors.
We will do better next time.
