At 40C, I had high fever for more than 3 days, accompanying by tonsillitis. Zann was taken care of by my inlaw for a day. Feeling so helpless, I thought I couldn’t make it to the trip. Hb brought me to see another doctor to get a stronger medicine for my throat. By late afternoon, I was seeing myself recovering slowly, feeling better at the very least. I requested not to postpone the trip. Hb was adamant at first, until I managed to convince him though. After all, this trip was my present.

Oh well, I almost forgot that Zann turns 26 months old today. Blur me…
Hmm what else can I say about her developments so far
except that terrible two can really drives me to the wall.
And and it’s getting tougher taking care of her now.
Birthday Update
December 13, 2007Zann’s birthday celebration was at Downtown East.
I would like to say a big thanks to all the friends
who were able to make it on that day.
Plus, it was a working day to a lot of people.
And yes, not forgetting that Jane and Elaiine
with their precious were the first to arrive.
Aren’t they adorable?
The table were loaded with food for the BBQ. Yummie stuffs
like spicy stingray and the mashed potato were my favourite.
But I didn’t manage eat it. Sigh…
I was so pai say too. Arh cos some of the food I bbq were burnt.
The birthday cake we chosen for Zann was decorated with
Snow white and the seven dwarfs. She actually wanted to
eat the Snow White, but I didn’t give it to her.
I was so afraid the chocolate-filled candy might be too heaty.
Zann has dozed off just before we decided it was time to cut the cake.
Some of the guests including Mrs Ong were eager to see her.
But the birthday girl was in slumberland.
Seeing her sleeping so soundly, I couldnt bear to wake her up.
Afterall, she was asleep less than an hour.
She looked kinda of blur when we were about to cut the cake.
It was like she wasn’t aware what was happening except
that there was a huge crowd in front of her.
Uncle Jeff and her girlfriend has helped us alot
in preparing the charcoal and starting the fire.
The blur me even forgot to take photo with
my good friend, Eileen. And I didn’t manage to talk to
Yizhong and the rest too.
The presents were secondary.
It’s the thought that counts.
But still, I would like to say thanks to all who came
and making this an enjoyable and memorable day for Zann.

She’s officially TWO years old today.
Happy Birthday to my precious Zann.
Hmm…not forgetting the terrible two’s symptoms,
insisting on getting whatever she wants…
Cries at every instant when she is not pleased.
She is also incredibly active nowadays.
We can never see her sitting still whether it’s home or public.
Has started to say words like hot, kiss, shue (tissue), pom pom (bath).
Though she doesnt pronounce the words accurately,
still, it’s fun hearing along with her cute expression.
She now sits with a book, studying the colourful pictures
rather than randomly flipping pages.
Nowadays she has a new cheeky habit, that’s clapping her wet palms,
sprinkling water on my face. Must have picked up from childcare..sigh

Taken on the weekend. Crying due to feeling grumpy.
Time flies…
Very soon Zann is going to turn 24 months (2 years old).
Looking back…
yes I could feel that my girl seems to grow overnight.
No longer the ‘blur blur’ baby.
This month she has been babbling alot,
turning into a talkative toddler?
I could feel that she was trying to tell me
something which I couldn’t understand also…
Oh yes, she even made an attempt to sing.
She pronounced only the part swish swish swish…la la la
in the theme song of The wheels on the bus.
She started to feed herself.
Sometimes even refused me to feed her.
Hmm…learning to be independent.
Still not yet potty trained.
(…this part which I was not been putting in effort yet)

Diet
She has completely eating on all types of adult food.
Teeth
now has increased to 2 molars on both sides
Sums up to: 5 top, 5 bottom, 4 at the back
Vocab
Can say one two and three. Like a sequence.
When I teach her say ‘teddy bear’ in chinese,
that is ’siao siong’ she pronounced as ng ng.
Can call tie ti (DADDY) and ma mi (Mummy)
Level of understanding
She will hold and try to pull the diapers
if she happens to poo. One of her way to tell me
to change her. Knows how to pick up tissue paper
and throws it to rubbish bin (when asked)
Hugs/kiss/flying kisses when she knows she is in the wrong.
Haha..This girl knows how to make pple forgive her.
Recently has shown GREAT interest in toilet.
And I meant by going into the toilet to ‘explore’.
The naughtiest act was throwing my handphone inside the
toilet bowl…tsk tsk….
Now that, each time she was given a scolding,
she would head for the toilet and hide inside. sigh…

Teeth
4 bottom, 4 top, 2 molars on the left and right
Zann has shown improvement in her level of understanding,
that she could follow my intructions and fits into her daily routine.
Flying kisses/wave when anyone of us left the house.
Walking over to the door to wait for me to open after wearing her shoes.
Will pick up and keep the toys in the correct place when asked to.
Has learnt how to fold her arms while waiting for me. (impatience ?)
Recently has a made a new discovery on her slight acceptance of soft toys.
While acting out on the cooking and eating, she will bring the spoon up, pretending to feed me, with the word ‘mmm mam’.
She will point to the cat, and says ‘mao’ (chinese for cat).
19 months old
July 12, 2007Yeah, she has grown one month older.
Time is passing so fast.
And we are in Sydney for almost 2 weeks…
She’s playing with that soft ball I have got her recently.

Here’s her growth summary:
She loves to talk, but only gibberish comes out…hahaha
SSShoe, Barbar (ball/ bear), mmm..mum (eating),
gog gog (doggy), nei nei (milk)
She nods and shakes head when I asked “do u want? “
Though I dont know if she really understand, but at least
it makes my life easier abit..hur
She is still very temperamental.
When I says “NO”, she will starts to wail and worse, lying on the floor.
This has become her protesting habit in the public…sigh
Walking and running everywhere
once her feet is on the ground. Scarie yea…and that makes
the mummy - me running after her.

How fast time flies.
Zann is 18 months old today.
She starts to understand and says the word, nen nen (milk).
And if I still don’t give her fast,
she’ll starts to throw her temper. Sigh.
She is beginning to be a fussy eater.
And worse, she loves fried food and pastries.
Which makes me having a hard time feeding her.
I guessed she inherited my sweet tooth habit.
She still drools. And the drooling amount has increased.
No signs of new tooth yet.
1 day I have to change 7-8 bibs on her.
Whenever I asks, where’s your shoes ? she knew we are going out.
She will fetch her shoes and bring them to me, looking and pointing to me.
But sometimes she ll do it for fun though… and and and
If I says NO, she ll starts to wail. *tsk tsk*
Kids should never be underestimated. *Grins*
