This time, there’s phlegmy cough. I went back to the same doctor whom we saw last week. Even the doctor was surprised to see us back again.
I need a second opinion. So I asked the doctor whether it is normal for a childcare teacher to say it’s no big deal not drinking water for a day only. I did not want to push the blame but I asked for my child to be well taken of during the day. After all, Zann spend 8 hours plus in the centre and not drinking water can contribute to lower immune system. How?
But what I got back was a hostile reply and I am being labelled as a fussy parent. It doesn’t make sense.
The doctor told me to change the childcare centre. Given the kind of attitude and negligence, it doesn’t help Zann at all. Although not drinking water may not cause fever and cough directly but it definitely plays a part when the child is sick.
If you were me, do you think you can close one eye of what’s being said from your child’s teacher ?

For me, I definitely will change to another childcare centre.
It is very important to drink lot of water.
For my son Ryan, I always remind the teacher to give him drink
lot of water. Although I myself have told ryan plenty of time to drink
water at school, but when comes to playing time, he sure will
forget about it.
I don’t bother the teacher will say ” I am fussy or wat”,what I want is my son to stay healthy. I don’t wan to waste my money on childcare ctr and doctor every mth. Everytime after fall sick,of course, we will get our kid to rest at home…so it means wasting our money for the childcare ctr.Not
worthy.
Have you tried make a complain to the childcare ctr Manager on tis issue?
It is best to highlight to higher management on the teacher’s attitude.
cendrine: thanks, mery.

If I were you, I’d drop that centre. So irresponsible. Have you inform the principle?
cendrine: yep.

We changed dd’s CC 3 times before settling on the current one which dd has been in for the past 3 yrs. So you don’t have to feel that you are “fussy”. So now it’s one day that she doesn’t drink water, and if you don’t voice up, it might just go on day after day.
