Our fun- filled SAT !

For the past one week, I have been organising and clearing everyone’s (unwanted) clothes, Zann’s old toys. What for? To sell them off at the Flea market today !

And so, the tiring process culminated at my first flea market experience as a seller. For fun’s sake. :D

children'sdaypartyWhile I was busy preparing and setting up the stall, Zann had her fun at the Children’s Day party.

Rain, rain go away…The venue was changed to the sheltered walkway instead of the badminton court.

My first sale came when the party has ended. And that’s where the crowd started to pour in. Did you see Zann’s expression? She was surprised to see her old toys on the floor. Unprepared to see her toy piano sold, she asked tearily why the little boy took it away.

flea-market_nightZann who didn’t want to go back home with Daddy, insisted staying on with me. She asked Daddy to bring down the stroller. I was feeling touched and grateful, but felt guilty that she couldn’t take a proper nap.

Lesson that I have learnt was to bring small loose change for people with large notes and a happy face !

All in all, it was pretty much an excellent learning experience. I enjoyed myself for the greater part of the day, although I felt that overall could be better if without the bad weather. I would definitely go again if there’s another one again.

Getting rid of unwanted stuff in a flea market is a good idea…

hi I chanced upon your site and yes I agree that it is a lot of hard work to be running a bazaar esp with singapore’s weather. It can be either very hot or in your case, raining cats and dogs but definitely a good learning experience :)
