The fairy tales lessons I learnt…

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Snow White ate the poison apples which the wicked step-mother offered,
not knowing the real intention. Should I say trust no one and never accept
stuffs from strangers?

Beauty and the Beast
Looks doesn’t matter when it comes to love.

The Little Mermaid
The little mermaid changed herself to win the Prince’s love but
he still marry someone else. Never try to change yourself to fit that someone.
Loving someone is to accept for who she is.
(I dislike this fairy tale cos of the sad ending…)

Cinderella
She invited her step-mother and step-sisters to stay with her in the palace
after she married the prince. What’s most admirable was her graciousness and forgiveness despite the ill treatments she used to receive.

Little Red Riding Hood
She did not end up inside the wolf’s stomach. Intuition never goes wrong.

Goldilocks and the three Bears
Never take what doesn’t belong to you. Always seek permission first.

Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty has slept for so many years,  just for a kiss.
Arh…isn’t patience a virtue ?

The Emperor’s New clothes
No one dared to tell the emperor that the truth that he had nothing on
except a young boy. Despite the humiliation, he still finished the parade
holding his head high. No one is perfect. Perhaps we should learn to take
defeat in our stride.

Rapunzel
She was willing to let down her hair and allowed the prince to take her away.
We just have to take a gamble in life to find happiness.

The Elves and the Shoemaker
Helping others without expecting any returns.
The elves worked hard through the night helping the poor shoemaker
and his wife without expecting any reward.

That’s my views on these different fairy tales.
So which is your favourite?

Hmmmm, interesting list to be sure. Have you ever read “Women Who Run With The Wolves”? She breaks fairy tales down into their deeper messages – fascinating subject.
